Vansdirect has gone through a period of rapid growth, from start-up to a turnover of £60 million in less than 5 years. In common with many companies experiencing such success, our accounting function failed to keep up with this growth. As a result we made some errors in accounting for tax resulting in our needing to make full disclosure to the Inland Revenue, and Paul Burke was engaged to assist us with this process.

The enormity of Paul's task became apparent after discovering that bad advice given by our previous accountant was largely responsible for the irregularities. Paul brought confidence, experience and a tough controlling influence to the process, being both fair and strong willed, and he was tireless in fighting our corner.
